It’s only been a few weeks that I’ve had the pleasure of serving in my new role at Innovate BC, but after spending this time with our team, connecting with our partners, and better understanding the role we play in British Columbia’s innovation ecosystem, I’m very excited about the work we’re doing now and the possibilities in front of us.
Our province has a distinct and strong innovation community and Innovate BC has positioned itself to serve as a platform, resource, and activator for the companies that make it what it is. I very much look forward to finding avenues to enhance our role and expand into new areas of impact while creating more value for our stakeholders – all toward achieving greater economic prosperity for our region.
I will be reaching out to many of you in the coming months to learn how we can work together on furthering the industries, businesses, and communities we all serve. And I encourage you to reach out to us — either myself or our team — with tangible opportunities for collaboration or ways to better engage toward common goals.
I’m very much looking forward to taking these next steps together and working with you to grow our innovation ecosystem here in B.C.
